Gibson is in his third season with the Green and Gold.

In addition to over a decade of CFL coaching experience, Gibson brought over two decades of NCAA experience at the Div. I level to the Eskimos.  Most recently, he served as head coach for the University of Regina Rams.

In 2014, he served as the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach for the RedBlacks. Prior to Ottawa, he spent three seasons with the Calgary Stampeders. First as running backs coach in 2011, then as the offensive line coach from 2012 to 2013.

His CFL coaching experience also includes two seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2009-10), two seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders where he was a member of the 2007 Grey Cup champion coaching staff, and two seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (2005-06). He first entered the league in 2001 as the Bombers offensive line coach.
