WR Brandon Zylstra named Player of the Week

Eskimos wide receiver Brandon Zylstra is a CFL Player of the Week for his performance in the Eskimos Week 16 victory over the Montreal Alouettes.

Zylstra caught seven passes for 201 yards and one touchdown, including a 56-yard reception.

The Concordia College product currently sits second in the league with 1335 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 82 receptions.

This is the second Player of the Week honour for Zylstra to go along with his September Player of the Month award.

CFL Players of the Week are chosen by a panel of judges who independently send their selections to the CFL head office. The panel includes former players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde of TSN and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.

The Eskimos host the Toronto Argonauts at The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium this Saturday, October 14 in their Pink Night, presented by Fisherman’s Friend. Kick-off is set for 5 p.m. MT.
