Mike Reilly Named Player of the Week

Eskimos quarterback Mike Reilly is a CFL Player of the Week for Week 8 for his performance in last Friday’s  27 – 20 victory over the Ottawa RedBlacks at TD Place.

Reilly threw for 384 yards and two touchdowns on 27 – 38 pass attempts and rushed for 51 yards on 11 carries to improve the Eskimos record to 7 – 0.

The Central Washington product has thrown for 2329 yards and 13 touchdowns on 181 – 249 pass attempts and rushed for 126 yards and four touchdowns on 40 carries.

CFL Players of the Week are chosen by a panel of judges who independently send their selections to the CFL head office. The panel includes former players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde of TSN and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.

The Eskimos travel to Winnipeg to take on the 5 – 2 Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Investors Group Field this Thursday, August 17. Kick-off is set for 6:30 p.m. MT.
