2011: (Edmonton) Stamps played 15 games (15 starts) and tied as the team's leading receiver with 82 catches for 1153 yards (lg: 75 yds) and 8 touchdowns. This is the third season Fred has had over 1,000 yards receiving. Although he finished the game, Fred suffered an abdominal injury in Game 6 in Winnipeg and had to undergo emergency surgery and missed 3 games. Stamps also started the Western Semi-Final (1 catch for 12 yards) and the Western Final (6 catches for 76 yards and a touchdown). Fred was named a Western Division All-Star, CFL All-Star and CFLPA All-Star.

2010: (Edmonton) Stamps played 14 games (14 starts) and, despite missing four games, ended the season as the team's top receiver with 80 catches for 1223 yards and five touchdowns. He left Game 6 near the end of the 3rd quarter with a shoulder injury and was placed on the 1-game injured list for four games. He was the Eskimo nominee for Most Outstanding Player and was named a 2010 West Division All-Star and CFLPA All-Star.

Career: Stamps was originally signed by the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2004 and spent time on the practice squad of the Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars. In 2007, Stamps played in nine games (seven starts) for the Esks. He spent five games on the disabled list when he underwent an appendectomy mid-season.  In 2008, he emerged as one of the Esks’ top receivers with 50 receptions for 751 yards and six touchdowns in 14 games (14 starts).  In 2009, Stamps played all 18 games (18 starts) and finished as the league's leading receiver with 85 receptions for 1402 yards and eight touchdowns. He had an outstanding game against Montreal on July 30 when he had four receptions for 109 yards and two touchdowns and, the next week in Hamilton, was the team's leading receiver with seven receptions for 136 yards. He continued his steak at home against Calgary on August 13 where he was again the team's leading receiver with five catches for 94 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner in the dying seconds. Fred started the Western Semi-Final and was the team's leading receiver with four catches for 76 yards. Stamps was the Eskimo nominee for Most Outstanding Player and was named a West Division All-Star, CFL All-Star and CFLPA All-Star.

College/Personal: He attended Louisiana-Lafayette for four years from 2000-2003 and was a two-time First Team All-Conference (Sun Belt) selection and ended his college career in 2003 with a 44-game receiving streak—the second-longest active streak in the nation at the time. At New Orleans’ Carver High School, Stamps broke some of alumnus Marshall Faulk’s records. He competed in football, baseball and track & field. Fred and his wife, Tamika, have a son Fred Jr.
