Acquired: Signed an extension on November 20, 2009. Originally signed as a free agent on February 16, 2009.

2010: (Edmonton) Lloyd has played eight games (eight starts) at middle linebacker and has recorded 42 defensive tackles, five tackles for losses (six yards), a special teams tackle, four quarterback sacks an interception for six yards and two knockdowns. He was named CFL Defensive Player of the Week in Saskatchewan Week 4 when he had six defensive tackles and an impressive two quarterback sacks. Mo is currently tied for 2nd in the CFL in both defensive tackles and sacks.

2009: (Edmonton) Lloyd played 15 games (15 starts) at middle linebacker and recorded 55 defensive tackles, four special teams tackles, four quarterback sacks, three tackles for a loss for eight yards and a forced fumble.  In the Labour Day Rematch TJ Hill intercepted the ball and lateraled the ball to Lloyd who ran it back 32 yards. On August 8 in Hamilton Lloyd injured his hamstring and left the game early. He was on the reserve list for the next three games. Lloyd started the Western Semi-Final and recorded four defensive tackles. Lloyd was named a 2009 CFLPA All-Star.

Career: Lloyd spent his first three CFL seasons with Saskatchewan, originally signing as a free agent in 2006. He was named a 2008 West Divisional All Star and 2008 CFL All-Star.

College/Personal: Lloyd was a four-year starter at Connecticut. He started at weak-side linebacker for the Huskies all four seasons, from 2001 to 2004. His junior year he led his team in tackles with 122 and he finished his senior year with 117 tackles, 12 tackles for losses, three quarterback sacks and an interception in 12 games. He majored in psychology and was on the Dean’s List in 2002. He graduated from Mainland High School (Daytona Beach, FL) where he played football, basketball and ran track. Maurice spends the off-season in Connecticut with his two children, Jayde and Jared, and wife Kaysie.
