Player Biography

Acquired: Signed as a free agent on May 14, 2013

2013: (Edmonton) In eight appearances, Crompton has completed 30 of 58 passes for 451 yards with five touchdowns, one rushing touchdown and five interceptions. Crompton has recorded five rushes for 20 yards. Crompton earned his first CFL touchdown pass with a 12-yard completion to Fred Stamps in Week 4 vs BC. Crompton played the second half of Week 15 against Montreal and completed 13 of 26 passes for 204 yards and three touchdowns and three interceptions. In Week 18 against BC, Crompton recorded his first CFL touchdown with a two-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter. In Week 19, Crompton played part of the third quarter completing 2 of 4 passes with one touchdown and one interception.

Pro: Crompton was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft and also spent time with New England Patriots, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Redskins.

College:  Crompton finished his senior season at Tennessee completing 58.3 per cent of his passes for 2,800 yards and 27 touchdowns. He finished his collegiate career as the seventh all-time passer, going 348-of-629 with 4,187 yards and 36 touchdowns. During his best season in 2009, Crompton hada string of 142 pass attempts without throwing an interception, one shy of the school season-record of 143 passes held by Casey Clausen in 2003.
