2014: In 15 games (15 starts), Young recorded 43 defensive tackles, four pass knockdowns, one interception and two quarterback sacks. In the West Semi-Final against Saskatchewan, he started at defensive back. In the West Final against Calgary, he recorded two defensive tackles.
2013: In 17 games (17 starts), Young recorded 43 defensive tackles, four special teams tackles, one interception and five pass knockdowns. He recorded his first interception as an Eskimo in Week 14 against Toronto.
2012: (Hamilton) Young played five games for the Tiger-Cats, registering defensive 15 tackles and two knockdowns. He was placed on the nine-game injured list after breaking his hand in Week 2, returning to the lineup at the end of September.
2011: (Hamilton) In 18 games, Young recorded 49 defensive tackles, two special teams tackles and two interceptions. He made his CFL debut on July 1 against Winnipeg.
Pro: Young spent time with the New Orleans Saints in 2009.
College: Young played two seasons (2008-09) at Jackson State University where he recorded 48 tackles, five pass break-ups, two interceptions, one quarterback sack and a fumble recovery. Prior to transferring to Jackson State, he played two years (2006-07) at Hinds Community College. In 2010 he took part in the Texas vs. The Nation game. He majored in financing.
