2012: (Edmonton) Cornell played in 12 games and recorded 12 special teams tackles and one defensive tackle. He also played in the Eastern Division semifinal and had a special teams tackle. Cornell was on the injured list for Weeks 12-17.
2011: (Edmonton) Cornell played all 18 games (two starts) on special teams and saw some time at linebacker, recording three defensive tackles and 16 special teams tackles. He also blocked a punt on July 16 vs. B.C. Cornell also played in the Western Division semifinal where he recorded three tackles on special teams. Cornell also played on special teams in the Western Division final.
2010: (Calgary) Cornell played six games and one playoff game for the Calgary Stampeders recording four special teams tackles.
College/Personal: Cornell played five seasons for the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees. He was a second-team Ontario University Athletics All-Star in 2009 after registering 36.5 tackles and four sacks. His nine tackles against Wilfrid Laurier were a team-high that season. In 2008, Cornell led the OUA with 53.5 tackles and was named the Gee-Gees' Defensive Player of the Year. He graduated from Cathedral High School in Hamilton Ont.
