Acquired: Re-signed on Jan. 31, 2011. Originally traded to Edmonton from Toronto, along with DT Etienne Legare, on Oct. 12, 2010 in exchange for K/P Noel Prefontaine.
2012: (Edmonton) Munoz played 18 games (18 starts) and was second on the team and fourth in the league in defensive tackles with 88 (eight for losses). He also had five special teams tackles, four knockdowns, two forced fumbles and three quarterback sacks. Munoz also started the Eastern Division semifinal where he recorded seven defensive tackles and a quarterback sack.
2011: (Edmonton) Munoz played 18 games (14 starts) and had 67 defensive tackles, 14 special teams tackles, a quarterback sack, a tackle for a loss of a yard, three knockdowns and an interception. Munoz started the Western Division semifinal where he scored his first CFL touchdown after recovering a fumble and returning it 77 yards to the end zone. Munoz also recorded seven defensive tackles, a tackle for a loss of four yards and two special teams tackles. Munoz also played in the Western Division final.
2010: (Toronto/Edmonton) Munoz was invited to a mini-camp tryout with the Chicago Bears in April and attended training camp with the Hartford Colonials (United Football League) and released as a final cut. He then signed a practice roster agreement with Toronto on Oct. 6. He was then on the Eskimo practice roster.
College/Personal: Munoz played five seasons (2005-09) at Rutgers and finished his college career with 195 tackles, two forced fumbles and three interceptions. Munoz was a four-year starter at linebacker and also saw time at running back at Miami Southridge High School in Miami, FL. He played in the Dade-Broward All-Star game. He also finished second in the state in wrestling. Munoz likes to play video games, specifically Madden and Call of Duty. He spends his off-seasons in Miami, FL where he is a Phys Ed teacher; he also mentors underprivileged children with an organization called, "Take stock in children serving Miami-Dade County." His favourite place to eat in Edmonton is Joey's.
