Acquired: Drafted in the sixth round (43rd overall) by the Eskimos in the 2010 CFL Canadian Draft.
2014: (Edmonton) In five games, Sharun's recorded four special teams tackles.
2013: (Edmonton) In 11 games, Sharun recorded one defensive tackle and 14 special teams tackles. Sharun was activated off the injured list for Week 4 of the season. Sharun was listed as a reserve for Week 15 against Montreal.
2012: (Edmonton) Sharun played in 13 games and had 13 special teams tackles. In the Labour Day rematch he caught a 35-yard touchdown from Matt Nichols on a botched field goal attempt. He was placed on the 9-game injured list to end the season.
2011: (Edmonton) Sharun played 18 games on special teams and finished first on the team and second in the league with 25 special teams tackles, which tied the Eskimos single season record. Sharun also played in the Western Division semifinal, and the Western Division final where he recorded one special teams tackle in each game. Sharun was the Eskimos nominee for Special Teams Player of the Year.
2010: (Edmonton) Sharun began the season on the practice roster. He was activated for Week 2 of the season and saw action on special teams. He was placed back on the practice roster before Week 3. He was reactivated before Week 5. In 15 games he led the team with 16 special teams tackles. He also added a defensive tackle and a blocked punt, which resulted in an Eskimo touchdown.
College: The Edmonton native spent 2009 with the Edmonton Wildcats of the Canadian Junior Football League where he was named a 2009 CJFL All-Canadian. He ended the season with 25 defensive tackles, five interceptions for 129 yards and a touchdown and one fumble recovery. Sharun played a big role in the Wildcats' victory in the 2009 Prairie Football Conference Final as he recorded three defensive tackles, one interception for 12 yards and one pass knockdown. He previously played quarterback at St. Francis Xavier University (2006-2007).
Personal: Sharun played high school football at Strathcona High School (Edmonton, AB) and won three city high school championships from 2003-05, seeing playing time at both quarterback and safety. In 2006 he played quarterback in the North-South Annual Senior Bowl High School All-Star Game, leading the North to victory. Sharun does community work with the Eskimos in the off-season. He wants to join the EPS once he is done football.
