Acquired: Signed as a free agent on February 19, 2009.

2009: (Edmonton) Gordon was the starting safety in the first game of the season, but was injured late in the game and was placed on the 1-game injured list. He was on the reserve list for Games 11 and 12 before returning to the lineup on Oct. 2 in Winnipeg. In seven games (six starts), he had 13 defensive tackles, three knockdowns and a 22-yard interception.  Playoffs: Gordon started in the Western Semi-Final and recorded four defensive tackles.

2008: (Saskatchewan) Gordon started in 17 games, recording 33 defensive tackles, one special teams tackle and one interception. He also started in the West Semi-Final.

Career: He was originally drafted in the 2nd round (18th overall) by the Calgary Stampeders in the 2002 CFL Canadian Draft. He was released in June of ’02 and picked up by the ‘Riders where he has spent the majority of his career. He played one season with Hamilton (2006), starting in the first four games but missed the rest of the season due to a knee injury. Gordon has started at safety for Saskatchewan since the final six games of 2007. He started in the 2007 West Final and the Grey Cup, where he recorded one defensive tackle and two special teams tackles.

College/Personal: Gordon attended the University of Ottawa where he was both First CIS All-Canadian and an OUA All-Star in 2001. He was part of the 2000 Vanier Cup Champion team and earned Defensive MVP and Gee-Gees’ Rookie of the Year. Scott played junior football for the Ottawa Junior Riders and was named QMJFL Player of the Year in 1999. He graduated from Brookfield High School (Ottawa, ON). He spends his off-season in Ottawa with his wife Heather and their baby daughter Gracie.
