2010: (Edmonton) Peterson has played two games and has recorded five catches for 45 yards.He was on the 1-game injured list for Game 3 and was then put on the 9-game injured list with a partial tear in his achilles.

2009: (Edmonton) Peterson played 18 games (18 starts) and finished the season with 63 receptions for 788 yards and a touchdown. Peterson started the Western Semi-Final and hauled in three catches for 15 yards.

Career: Peterson was drafted in the first round (6th overall) of the 2001 CFL Canadian Draft. He has played with Calgary (2001-2003), Winnipeg (2004-2005), Hamilton (2005-2006) and Edmonton (2007-2009). He won a Grey Cup his rookie season with Calgary in 2001. Peterson attended the Green Bay Packer training camp in 2003 and played with the Arena Football League’s Colorado Crush in the spring of 2004. In 2007 Peterson enjoyed a successful first season with the Eskimos, leading the team in scoring with seven touchdowns, receptions with 80 and receiving yards with 1068 and was named a CFLPA All-Star.  Kamau enjoyed the best season of his career in 2008 with his second +1000 yards receiving season in a row.  He was a CFL Canadian Player of the week twice during the season and was named a 2008 West Division All-Star.  He was awarded the CFL Most Outstanding Canadian Player honours at the 2008 Gibson’s Finest Player Awards. 

College/Personal: Kamau played four seasons at New Hampshire and finished his college career with 80 receptions for 1124 yards and eight touchdowns. In 2001, he led the Wildcats in receptions with 53. Peterson also played on New Hampshire’s basketball team for two years and was a member of the track & field team where he holds the America East triple jump record and was a three-time conference champion. He double majored in Psychology and English. Peterson was on the Canadian Junior Track and Field team from 1994-1995 and played for the Ontario Junior Basketball team from 1994-1996. Kamau, his wife Melissa and their sons, Cassius and Cruz, live in Edmonton year-round. Kamau is very involved in the Eskimo community programs and also began Playmaker University - a local football camp for kids.
