Tim Prinsen
Offensive Line
Tim Prinsen returns for a third season overseeing the Eskimo offensive line. Prinsen joined the Eskimo staff midway through the 2010 season.
The former CFL centre spent four years as the offensive line coach for the University of Alberta Golden Bears (2006-’09). He was also a guest coach at the Eskimo 2010 Training Camp.
Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Tim had an eight-year CFL playing career with both the Edmonton Eskimos (2000-’04) and the Hamilton Tiger Cats (1997-’99). In his eight years he has won two Grey Cups - 2003 with Edmonton and 1999 with Hamilton - in four appearances to the Championship game.
The Edmonton native was the Tiger Cats first pick (fourth overall) in the 1997 CFL Canadian Draft. He attended the University of North Dakota and graduated with a degree in physical education.
He and his wife Audra have three children: Daughters Hannah (9) and Sadie (4) and son Gerrit (7). The Prinsen family currently resides in Edmonton.
