Profile: Kevin Strasser

Kevin Strasser
Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks

Kevin joined the Eskimos on July 31, 2009 as the Senior Offensive Consultant and was later promoted to Offensive Coordinator on September 9, 2009.  He had a hand in creating an aggressive offence that saw two players lead the league in several categories at seasons end.  Fred Stamps lead the league in receiving yards (1402) and Ricky Ray in passing yards (4916) and passes completed (401).

The former Oregon State receiver spent the last two years as the receivers coach with the Portland State Vikings. In 2008, six of Strasser's receivers had at least 24 catches, a remarkable achievement for a team that had none of its top eight receivers from the previous year.

Strasser spent five seasons with the Montreal Alouettes ('02 - '06), serving as Receivers Coach and Co-Offensive Coordinator ('02-'04) and as Offensive Coordinator ('05 - '06).  In 2005, Strasser guided a high powered Alouette offence that lead the CFL in points scored (592) and passing yards (5,556).  Under Strasser's tutelage several receivers have reached CFL All-Star status including Ed Hervey, Terry Vaughn, Kez McCorvey, Ben Cahoon, Pat Woodcock and Keith Stokes.
