Kit Lathrop
Assistant Head Coach/Defensive Line Coordinator


Kit brings to the Eskimos over 20 years of football experience in both player and coaching capacities.  Known as one of the best USFL players of all time, the California native spent two seasons in the USFL appearing in the Championship game in 1984.  He was named to the USLF All League Team both years.

Kit broke into broke coaching in 1995; shortly after he won a Grey Cup in 2000 with the BC Lions as the team's defensive line coach.

Lathrop works for Nebraska Beef and directs the shipping of beef around the United States from his office setup at home, along with his wife/partner Becki. Kit is in charge of the trim side of the beef business; this is the side of the beef from which sausages are made. In the off-season he makes customer visits and works on generating new business.
