MEDIA INFORMATION 

Access to Players and Coaches: All player and coach interviews must be arranged through Dave Jamieson, Vice Presient of Communications and Broadcasting at (780) 448-1533 or (780) 719-6820.  Players and coaches will also be available before practice in the Eskimo Locker Room on regular practice days.

 

Attending Practice: Media will receive a practice schedule weekly. For daily updates to the schedule, please call (780) 448-1533. Practices are open to the media, unless otherwise noted. Media may watch practice from the sidelines. Please do not approach players or coaches during practice. The Edmonton Eskimos will practice at Clarke Park or Commonwealth Stadium.

 

Filming Practice: The second 10-minute period of practice is open to TV cameras to film from the sidelines.  All broadcast equipment must be removed from the practice field immediately after the 10 minutes has elapsed. Broadcast media may be asked to turn off their cameras at the discretion of Edmonton Eskimo coaches or communications staff during this filming of practice.  Camera personnel may not enter the playing field, unless permission has been granted.

 

Head Coaches News Conference: News conferences with head coaches of both teams will be held at Commonwealth Stadium the day prior to each game.  Times and location TBD.  

 

Accreditation: Season passes are issued to those members of the media who regularly cover the Edmonton Eskimos. Single game accreditation may be requested by contacting Dave Jamieson at least 72 hours before the game. All credentials are issued to a specific individual and are non-transferable. Single game credentials may be picked up at the Coaches' media conference one day prior to the game. All unclaimed passes will be available for pick-up game day at the Eskimo Office, 11000 Stadium Road. Two hours or less before kickoff, passes can be picked up at the ticket window at Gate 2 on the SW side of the stadium.

Game Day Photographers: Sideline photography during Eskimo home games is limited to working media on assignment from a recognized outlet. Free-lance photographers must provide the Edmonton Eskimo Football Club with ten (10) 8x10 and twenty (20) 5x7 prints.  Working media credentials must be displayed at all times.

 

Game Day Information:

Media entrance/location: The Bryan Hall Media Centre is found on the west side of Commonwealth Stadium.  Door entrance is just north of Section C on the concourse level.  Entrance to the stadium is located at Gate 4 or 2 on the west side of Commonwealth Stadium.

 

Media Centre:  The Commonwealth Stadium Media Centre is for working members of the media only. Media Centre space is limited. Seating is not guaranteed.

 

Media Centre Services:

  • Team game notes, depth charts, CFL statistics, game day information provided.
  • Play-by-play statistics are provided at the end of each quarter and distributed throughout the game.
  • Final statistics are available approximately 20 minutes after the game.
  • Transmission Facilities: 30 phone lines are available in the Media Centre, as well as high-speed internet.
  • Food and Beverage Service:  A pre-game meal will be served one hour prior to kick-off.  Soft drinks and coffee are available throughout the game.

On-field access during game: Media will only be permitted to access the field when there is five minutes left in the fourth quarter.  Requests for earlier admittance can be directed to Dave Jamieson at least one day prior to game day.

 

Post-game interviews: Head Coach Kavis Reed will hold a post game news conference in the room adjacent to the Eskimo Locker Room.
