The Edmonton Eskimos and Football Alberta are proud to offer the Eskimos Novice and Atom Flag Football League to kids ages 6-11.

Current Eskimo players guest coach alongside players from the University of Alberta Golden Bears to teach kids this exciting game. No experience is needed.

League Details

    • Flag football league for novice players (born 2006-08) and atom players (born 2003-05), separated into "open" and "girls only" categories. 
    • Players are evaluated on the first day and placed in divisions and on teams according to ability and gender.
    • All teams are named after current CFL teams.
    • Teams of eight players will play five-on-five flag football.
    • All games played indoors at Commonwealth Stadium Field House with the possibility of outdoor venues added.
    • The season runs from first weekend after Labour Day to the first weekend in November.
    • Teams get one practice/game session weekly on Sundays for 90 minutes.
    • Parents are welcome to participate as assistant coaches or managers.
    • Atom level teams require parents to participate as head and/or assistant coaches and managers.
    • All coaches participate in a seminar and are given a "how to" guide.

Go to to register. Registrations will be accepted on a first come first served basis. A waiting list will be created once the 350 capacity is reached.
