(Edmonton) Eskimo All-Star receiver Fred Stamps has advanced to the quarter-final round of TSN's CFL Play of the Year Showdown. CFL fans will be the judge and jury as Canadians deliver their verdict on TSN.ca for the most spectacular plays from this year’s CFL regular season in the third-annual CFL PLAY OF THE YEAR SHOWDOWN.
Fred is up for the great one-handed catch against Calgary, when he blew by defenders after the spectacular catch to score a touchdown. His quarter-final match-up is Saturday, November 12 against Winnipeg's Cory Watson. The winner will move on the Semi-Final Round.
The winner of this year’s CFL PLAY OF THE YEAR SHOWDOWN will be unveiled during SPORTSCENTRE’s TOP 10 CFL PLAYS OF THE YEAR special hosted by Darren Dutchyshen on GREY CUP SATURDAY on Nov. 26 at 3:30 p.m. (Mountain Time) on TSN (encore at 7 p.m. MT).
