Edmonton Eskimos
ESKS.com Staff
• The mood was light on the last day of training camp. The music was blaring from the loud speakers at Clarke Stadium during warm-ups and had everyone moving a bit to the beat. Receivers coach Jason Tucker was showing off some of his moves at centre field while the team warmed up.
• Eskimo play-by-play voice Morley Scott was sporting a slightly new look today, wearing a pair of canvas checkered Airwalk slip on shoes. His new footwear was his Father’s Day gift from his two children. He got his gift early, as he will be in Vancouver calling the Eskimo game on Father's Day.
• The outcome of the NBA Final had several people smiling today. Head Scout Ed Hervey proudly wore his Lakers hat and t-shirt while he stood on the sidelines evaluating the talent. WR Kevin Wuthrich had his Lakers t-shirt ready to go for after practice when the receivers ran a few wind sprints.
• Grade 7 & 8 students from Teepee Creek School made the five hour drive to Edmonton to take in Eskimo practice. Former Eskimo Jed Roberts, who has gone out to Teepee Creek to speak to students, came out to meet the group and watch practice with them.
• Thanks to everyone who came out to support the Eskimos during training camp. The team will be decided by June 24th. Check back to our website for the final roster announcement.
