(Edmonton) Head Coach Kavis Reed announced today that quarterback Kerry Joseph will start on Sunday in the Eastern Semi-Final in Toronto.
“Kerry is a veteran quarterback who has been to the playoffs and won a championship,” says Reed. “Kerry’s experience gives him a bit of an advantage going into the post-season.”
The 39-year-old Joseph led the Saskatchewan Roughriders to a Grey Cup in 2007 and won Most Outstanding Player honours that year.
Both Joseph and Matt Nichols may see action on Sunday. The two quarterbacks have been splitting reps in practice this week.
