(Edmonton) – The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announces the signing of free agent import defensive back Marcell Young.

“Marcell is a talented a defensive back that is starting to reach the peak of his career,” says Eskimo Head Coach Kavis Reed.

Young joins the Eskimos after spending the last two seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats where he recorded 64 defensive tackles, three special teams tackles and three interceptions. The 200-pound Jackson State product also spent time with the New Orleans Saints in 2009.
