Esks add two to practice roster

(Edmonton)  The Edmonton Eskimos have signed import free agent defensive lineman Justin Brown and import free agent running back Ramonce Taylor to the practice roster, the club announced today.

Signing with the Calgary Stampeders on May 7, 2009, Brown appeared in three games with Calgary recording seven defensive tackles and one forced fumble.  The East Central Oklahoma graduate signed with the NFLs Indianapolis Colts as a free agent in 2005.  He joined the Frankfurt Galaxy of the NFLE in 2006 where he recorded 20 defensive tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble.  The Oklahoma native also spent time with the New Orleans VooDoo (2006-2008).  

Taylor signed as a free agent with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on June 4, 2009 and was released on June 19th.  The Texas native played his entire collegiate career with the Texas Longhorns where in 2005 he compiled at team high of 1,219 offensive yards and 15 touchdowns, including one in Texas’ national championship victory over Southern California in the Rose Bowl.
