Kendial Lawrence Returns to the Edmonton

The Edmonton Eskimos have signed free agent punt returner Kendial Lawrence.

Eskimos Vice President of Football Operations and General Manager Ed Hervey will be available to media today, February 14, at 3 p.m. on the first floor of The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium.

The native of Rockwall, Texas played 11 games for Saskatchewan last season, recording 37 kick returns for 752 yards and three missed field goal returns for 50 yards. He added 37 carries for 150 yards with one rushing touchdown and 17 receptions for 129 yards before he was traded to Hamilton in October.

Now entering his fifth season, Lawrence entered the league in 2013 with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and spent two seasons in Edmonton (2014-15) where he was a member of the Eskimos Grey Cup championship team.

In 48 career games, he has amassed 175 punt returns for 1,734 yards with two touchdowns, nine missed field goal returns for 242 yards, as well as 132 carries for 712 yards with four rushing touchdowns and 96 receptions for 927 yards with five receiving touchdowns.
